Lowpass Filters

DCI low pass filters are typically used on transmitter outputs to reduce harmonics and broadband noise, and on receiver inputs to reduce fundamental overload from higher frequency transmitters. These units are constructed with seven elements, with coaxial inductors and Teflon® capacitors. The filters are excellent insurance against interference to other services. Example: VHF can interfere with UHF, and UHF can interfere with cellular.

  • Low loss < 0.15 dB, power handling up to 2 kW.
  • Second harmonic attenuation is about 35 dB, and the 3rd through 5th harmonics are down over 50 dB.
  • Our standard models have cutoff frequencies of 160, 320 and 500 MHz.
  • Excellent for use on paging transmitters to reduce interference to other services while allowing continuous high power operation with no noticeable degradation of transmitter power and coverage.
